2025/26 Competitive Team Tryout Details
All Tryouts will be held at Cargill Park. Players must pre-register for tryouts using the tryout registration link. The cost to participate is $25.
After tryouts, the players will be picked up at the drop-off location by the soccer gates. This is to encourage a stress-free environment where players can perform at their best!
THIS INFORMATION APPLIES TO ALL PLAYERS WANTING TO TRYOUT!!
2025/2026 Practice times and dates will NOT be released until after teams are formed!

Steps for tryouts
1. Register your child for tryouts (NEW AND RETURNING PLAYERS MUST REGISTER)
2. Your child will need athletic clothing, lots of water, soccer cleats, a soccer ball, and shine guards.
(PLAYERS TRYING OUT ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR THEIR BLUE PRACTICE GEAR!!!)
3. Tryouts will take place at Cargill Park (S.U. tryouts are closed; NO parents beyond the soccer gates!)
4. TRYOUT DAY: Park at the top of the hill and walk your child to the check-in tent by the walking path. A parent must be present at check-in.
5. Boys and Girls birth years 2015-2007 Boys and Girls are eligible for Shreveport United 2025/2026 competitive tryouts!!
What to do if my child made a team?
Registering AFTER invites are sent out in GOTSPORT:
1. Make sure your child’s information is correct!
2. Make sure to have your child’s Birth certificate on hand when registering (even if you are on vacation) Gotsport will not let you proceed with registration without a birth certificate. We WILL NOT waive any late fees!
3. All registration payments will go through Gotsport
4. Your child’s registration will be incomplete until payment is processed.
5. Once payment is completed, your child's spot has been secured on the team.
6. Within the 2 weeks AFTER invites are sent, you will receive an invite to TeamSnap and an email for their uniform links. Please make sure to purchase these as soon as possible since it may take a few weeks. All uniforms MUST be with the Ochsner logo.
7. Uniform numbers are assigned to all players. All returning players keep their numbers unless you move teams. NEW players must purchase new kits and practice gear.
8. All invites will be sent via email at noon on May 30th.
YOU WILL HAVE 72 HOURS TO REGISTER OR YOU WILL
BE CHARGED A LATE FEE of $150.
Attendance
While attendance at all tryout sessions is RECOMMENDED, we do understand that there are schedule conflicts that sometimes cannot be resolved. You must still register your player for tryouts and notify the Director of Coaching that the player will not be present at the scheduled tryouts.
Weather
In the event of inclement weather, updates will be communicated via email to registered players if any changes to the schedule are made. Updates will also be shared via Shreveport United's social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
