Cabosa Frequently Asked Questions

We would like to invite you to come join us in playing the fastest growing sport 
in America. We are the Caddo-Bossier Soccer Association (CABOSA).
We offer recreational, Division 1 and select soccer to the Caddo-Bossier area.
We have been in existence since 1983. Below are some frequently asked
questions about our soccer program?

1. Question. Who can play?
Answer. Boys and girls who turn (4)yrs on or before by July 31, 2008.
Our program offers soccer from ages 4 thru 18.

2. Question. How do we form teams?
Answer. U5 & U6 teams are allowed to form their own teams.
If not formed as a group they will be formed as the U7 and above are by birth
date (cut off is July 31st, 2008) and then by neighborhood/schools by our
league directors.

3. Question. When and where do they practice?
Answer. When and where a team practice is up to the individual coach.
U5/6 teams can practice only once a week for one hour. Practice is in
various areas of both Shreveport /Bossier close to player’s neighborhood or
School. U8 teams and above are allowed to participate in our training
academy (at a charge of $50.00 per season per player) that is held at
LSUS by P.E. Building.

4. Question. When and where are the games played?
Answer. All CABOSA games are played at Cargill Soccer Complex in Shreveport.
Games are played on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
Make-up games are played on Friday nights after 5:30p.m.

5. Question. When does the season begin and end?
Answer. The CABOSA season starts on September 13, 2008 and ends
on or around first weekend in October 25th 2008.

6. Question. How do I register?
Answer. To register, we will need a completed registration form, a copy of
their birth certificate (even if they have played with CABOSA
in the past), and registration fee. The deadline to register is August 8, 2008
at 2:00 p.m. You can pick up a form at the CABOSA office or on our website
at www.cabosa.org. You can come by the office during office hours, drop in
our drop box on the door or mail it in. Please consider the mail system when
getting close to August 8th. If we receive it by mail after that date it will be
accessed a late fee of $15.00.

7. Question. Where do I register?
Answer. The registration form, copy of birth certificate, and registration
fee can either be mailed (received in the CABOSA office no later than August
15th) or dropped at the CABOSA office. The CABOSA office hours are Monday
through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. There is an after hours slot in the door
for drop offs when the office is closed.

8. Question. How much does it cost?
Answer. The register fee for the fall 2007 season is U5/U6 $70.00 or $110 for
both , U7-U9 is $80.00 or $130.00 for both, U10 – U18 is $85.00 or $135.00 for
both the fall and spring seasons. This fee includes a complete uniform of a
jersey, shorts, and socks. Registration ends on August 15th. Late registration
begins on August 9th with a $15.00 late fee.
